Guyana Girl

christi-0121 Sharon Lalla and daughter “Christi’ana”

My name is Sharon Lalla, and my family is from “Guyana”. I live in New Jersey, and I am a Special Events Planner & Marketing Executive . I started this blog to connect with my readers, both in the music business and just my closest friends that wanted to have a place to escape from the real world. I will be sharing tips on helping us get through our day by relaxing, listening to music and cooking some great dishes from Guyana and all over the world. I have visited some amazing places and have friends from all over the globe, some are famous people who you hear on the radio or have seen on television. I will be interviewing some of them for my music blog which will keep you updated on what’s going on at “Guyana Girl” . Thank you for visiting and please sign up for our e-mail list so we can help you connect to our world.

  8. Hi, I don’t know if you are still out there but I ran across your site today. I’m an American living in the Netherlands and have a friend here from Guyana. She taught me how to make her Chicken Massala, beef and pork as well. She can not find the right spices here to make her Massala. She doesn’t know the name of some of the spices so it is hard to find. The day I knew that I had indeed learned to cook her Massala well is when my Suriname friend came to eat with us and she walked in and said it smelled just like her mother’s . I love Curry and what I have learned from here. I love reading your blog.
